Detachment

Description

One of the best movies I've seen this year. A movie played to perfection by Mr. Andrie Brody. Parallel to the main story of the film, we are ahown that our actions and behaviors are but the baggage of emotions that we collected since childhood, but nevertheless, the best decision is always made according believe is convenient.

What we learn

The sequence that runs between 61:14 and 64:01 minutes give us a clue of it and open to all kinds of interpretations there to get to better understand the behavior of the main character of the film.
The sequence that runs between 41:46 and 44:28 minutes is certainly that has given visibility on social networks this feature. However, as dazzlingly and touching they are also the first 15 minutes of this film. In fact the film as a whole is full of small jewelry performing.

"We fail letting everyone down. Including ourselves" from 89:40 minute to the end of the film (8 minutes longer) suggests a little hope to the decisions that we have taken correctly. A hug, like the girl who is in the foster house, are messages of "let it go", what the protagonist did with his grandfather, now befalls him through it. Something easier to appreciate for those who have read the masterpiece of Edgar Allan Poe, "The Fall of the House of Usher" ....... That weight pressing down on you ....

Definitely a movie to watch it more than once and enjoy it again over time.
